Overview
Incoglingo is an English speaking practice app. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
Microphone Access
Incoglingo requests microphone permission so you can practice speaking English out loud. Your audio is sent to a transcription service to convert speech to text for evaluation. Audio recordings are processed in real-time and are not stored permanently on our servers. You can use the app in text-only mode without granting microphone access.
Account & Progress Data
You can use Incoglingo without creating an account. All progress is stored locally on your device. If you choose to sign in with Google, we store your display name, email address, and learning progress in Firebase Firestore so you can sync across devices. You can sign out at any time, and your local progress remains on your device.
Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics and Mixpanel to understand how the app is used and improve the experience. This includes anonymous usage data such as screens visited and features used. No personally identifiable information is shared with analytics providers.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is only shared with service providers necessary to operate the app (Google Firebase for authentication and storage, transcription services for speech processing).
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information. Local data is stored in your device's local storage.
Children's Privacy
Incoglingo is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information without parental consent, please contact us at kartikeyrai@incoglingo.com and we will promptly delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
